About the Founders of FitnessBaddies
Hey all, yeah you guessed it, my name is Mike.. A 31 year old good looking stud muffin.. Well that’s what I like to think anyway.
You let me know what you think…
I started out with a simple life in the State of Arizona.. Phoenix to be exact. I was raised by two loving parents, who I love dearly. As I entered into my mid teen years…you know the trouble making years? – I started working out and getting involved with nutrition.
I remember the first time I went to the gym on my own I was so scared I didn’t want to go inside all by myself. But I did and since then I have never stopped.
Working out, eating right, and feeling good about myself was something that I just could not get enough of.
Something about picking heavy things up and putting them down just to do it all over again was for some reason addicting as could be.
Fast forward and few years as I graduated high school, I knew that I wanted to pursue a higher degree of education and the only thing that I was interested in pursuing was strength training and fitness.
It was my passion and because so, I worked by butt off and in just three short years I got my Bachelors in Sports Science and Performance Programming.
I turned 22 that year and planned to take year of school and decide what I wanted to do with my life. I was still unsure. During this time, I became a part time personal trainer at a Gold Gyms near where I lived.
After about 2 months of doing this I knew I wanted more and decided I would go back to school and further my education even more.
I went back to school and 2 years later I walked out with my Masters in Exercise & Wellness from the University of Arizona.
I learned quite a lot throughout my college career and because of this I wanted to share my knowledge with others and help them along their way.
I have the knowledge, the expertise, the will…I just needed the audience.
So here I am sharing my knowledge with all of you here on FitnessBaddies.com.
Hi all, Joy here hoping to motivate and move you forward in your journey to becoming a better version of yourself.
I started off with a simple life just like Mike did. I was raised by two loving parents and although they did everything they could to raise me to not break rules… I still did. I was the trouble maker and I was proud of it.
Think of me as the innocent little girl who would pour your cereal for you when you were looking but would eat it all when you weren’t. Yeah hi, my name is Joy, nice to meet you.
I went to college here in Texas at Texas State University and actually never finished my first go around.
When Mike moved to Texas and we met, he motivated me to go back and finished my higher education and I am glad he did. I went back in 2010 and in 2013 I earned my Masters in Exercise & Sports Science from Texas State University.
